Mike’s Arcade Marquee Soffit
We recently had a customer order quite a few marquees from us for a soffit project. Have to admit we really didn’t know what a soffit was until we looked it up. In any case, this is probably one of the coolest projects we’ve seen here at ArcadeMarquee Dot Com, thanks to Mike for the pics and description of the project:
“I had a very difficult time deciding how to represent the games that were important to me. So, rather than buy one or two arcade machines, we purchased a pedestal multicade and built a soffit that covers about half of the room. The soffit is backlit with led rope and has 13 marquees (5 on the west wall and 8 on the north wall) mounted inside it. I couldn’t be happier with the results and the supplemental lighting is nice for playing the arcade games as well.”

Arabian Arcade Marquee

Ninja Baseball Bat Man Arcade Marquee
This is a pretty interesting one…. Ninja Baseball Bat Man, only a couple of these arcades made it out, right as the arcade industry was starting to tank. We were fortunate enough to get an original scan from Quarterworld in Portland. They have one of the few actual games that exist, and furthermore, one of the few that the public can go and play. Raiden Fighters 2 Arcade Marquee
Definitely one of the best shoot em ups of all time. All of the Raiden games combined satisfying controls and power ups with a high level of difficulty and challenging bosses. Super fun to play, and still super affordable. For now that is…

Alien vs Predator Big Blue CPS2 Arcade Marquee
AvP was one of our favorite games growing up. Slightly more advanced with move combinations than the rest of the side scroller beat em ups such as Simpsons and X-Men. Not to mention the Big Blue arcades at 7-Eleven were beautiful in an intimidating sort of way. This particular game in the Northwest is still affordable. Last couple ones have sold for around $600 on Craigslist. Wouldn’t be surprised if they jumped up in price though. Neo Geo Marquees
We always like seeing some nice Neo Geo arcade marquees, and recently Chris from Mobius Strip Technologies was kind enough to send us some of our marquees mounted and looking great! Apparently Chris’s first arcade was a Neo Geo, which is awesome because it was our first too. Hard to beat the selection and variety you can get from the MVS system, and the feel of having one of those fatty carts in your hand. Thanks again Chris!
Soul Calibur 3 Arcade Marquee

X-Men vs Street Fighter Arcade Marquee
X-Men vs Street Fighter Arcade marquee. One of the better fighting titles to come out of the CPS2 system. Still sells for a reasonable price too, usually around $150 on eBay. Reasonable considering a Hyper Fighting or Championship will run $250+. Check out the marquee in our store HERE.
Punchout Arcade Marquee
Loved this game as a kid. Turns out the arcade is waaaay more difficult. Always liked the way the cabinet looked, and as of late, they’re getting harder and harder to find. At recent Captain’s Auctions in California, dedicated Punchout cabinets were going for as much as $1200. Check out the marquee in our store HERE.
