We’re always surprised by how many different variations there are for Street Fighter. It seems as if right when we’re on the cusp of collecting all the art for the marquees, another request comes in for Alpha Beta Zero Plus Four Gamma Zeda. We were more than happy to help one of our clients create the art for SF Alpha Zero 2, and feel like it came out pretty well! Check it out in our store HERE.
The ever so rare Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters arcade marquee is finally in our collection. Rare game on the tail end of the Atari streak, this marquee just did not pop up in any fashion for us until now. We always like seeing alternative uses to the marquees. This one comes in from Johnny D. A very creative use for displaying some badass Terminator 2 memorabilia. From the looks of it, a color changing LED and some classic VHS and DVD cases. Thanks for the pics Johnny.
We’ve been searching for a good scan of The Punisher big blue for a while now. Super rare game to begin with, but the CPS2 big blue dynamo even more so. We recently were able to get a good scan of Nintendo’s Vs Platoon. A very rare game, in fact we’ve never seen one in the wild. Gameplay doesn’t look particularly compelling, but a must have for the Die Hard Nintendo collector. Check out the marquee HERE, and a play through below.
There’s something super satisfying about seeing a very clean Nintendo cabinet. We recently sent out some Vs Nintendo arcade marquees to Dana, and were happy to see some pics of the final product. The Tron arcade is one of the most iconic games from the 80s. Everything about the cabinet and art was extremely well done. Gameplay was and is mediocre, but that doesn’t stop today’s collectors from paying big bucks to own one. At auction Tron’s generally go for over $2,000, and project cabinets can go for over $1000 (*Captain’s Auction Anaheim bidding data). Really happy with the way this one came out. Meng wanted a Mortal Kombat style marquee so we were able to piece together some graphics to make it happen.
